Enhance the security of your Coaching Loft account by enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This feature requires a second layer of verification—typically a time-based code from your mobile device—alongside your usual username and password.
Enabling 2FA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, as login attempts must be verified through a device only you control.
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication
For Coaches & Coachees:
-
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner of your browser window.
-
Click on Settings.
-
Scroll down to the Two-Factor Authentication section.
-
Click Configure.
For Enterprise Admins:
-
Navigate to Settings from the main menu.
-
Click Two-Factor Authentication from the sub-menu.
Installing the Authenticator App
- Download and install Google Authenticator on your mobile device.
-
On the 2FA setup page, click Setup Two-Factor Authenticator.
-
Scan the provided QR code using Google Authenticator.
-
Once registered, Google Authenticator will generate a 6-digit verification code every 30 seconds.
Finalizing Setup
-
Click Next.
-
Enter the current 6-digit code from Google Authenticator in the field provided
-
Once the 2FA is setup, you will receive a backup code—save this securely. It can be used to regain access if you lose your 2FA device.
- Next time you log in, you'll be prompted to enter a code that is delivered to your device.
Using a Backup Code
If you lose access to your 2FA device:
-
On the 2FA prompt screen (after entering your email and password), click "Use Backup Code."
-
Enter your saved backup code in the designated field.
-
Once validated, your current 2FA setup will be removed.
-
You will be prompted to set up 2FA again using a new device.
