Coaching software runs a coaching practice or program in one system: clients, scheduling, session notes, goals, 360 assessments, invoices and reports. Coaching Loft provides it for independent coaches, coaching firms and the HR and L&D teams of UAE organizations, and its servers are in the UAE.
Coaches book clients, keep private notes and send VAT invoices. Firms run a white-label platform with their own domain, logo and colors, and enterprises can send notifications from their own email domain. Organizations run internal and external coaches, match coachees by time zone, language and meeting format, and report progress to sponsors without exposing session content.
Coaching in the UAE
Coaching Loft's servers are in the United Arab Emirates, so the coaching data you store in the platform, from client records to session notes, stays in the country. That matters under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 Regarding the Protection of Personal Data (the PDPL), in force since 2 January 2022, which sets separate rules for transferring personal data outside the UAE; the UAE Data Office acts as the federal data regulator.
Location matters because of what coaching notes contain. The PDPL defines sensitive personal data to include data about a person's health and physical, psychological or mental condition, and conversations about stress or burnout can touch it. Article 20 lists encryption among the security measures controllers and processors must put in place, and Coaching Loft encrypts data in transit and at rest. Session notes can be private, an account-wide default can lock who reads what a coach writes, admins can require two-factor authentication, and four admin role types control what each administrator can do.
Free zones work differently. The PDPL does not apply to companies in free zones that have their own data protection legislation: the DIFC applies its Data Protection Law (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020) under its Commissioner of Data Protection, and ADGM applies the ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021 through its Office of Data Protection. Each has its own rules on data leaving the free zone, so a DIFC or ADGM company should still have its data protection officer review our hosting. Enterprise clients can also sign a data processing agreement with us.
The federal government works Monday to Thursday plus Friday morning, with a Saturday and Sunday weekend since 1 January 2022, and the UAE is four hours ahead of GMT, so London is three or four hours behind depending on British Summer Time. Clients self-book, and AI coach matching weighs time zone and language. The interface is in English; a built-in Google Translate selector can show it in Arabic as machine translation, not a native Arabic version. ICF's ACC, PCC and MCC credentials have local support from the ICF UAE Chapter, established in 2012.

In the United Arab Emirates. Coaching Loft's servers are in the UAE, in a single location, so the client records, session notes, assessments and reports you store in the platform stay in the country. There is no other hosting region. Enterprise clients can sign a data processing agreement, and every customer keeps the rights to their data and can export it as reports, client files or raw data.
The PDPL places obligations on controllers and processors, and much depends on how an organization configures and uses a platform, so we do not claim certification. What Coaching Loft provides: UAE hosting, encryption in transit and at rest, private session notes, an account-wide lock on who reads coach notes, four admin role types and two-factor authentication admins can require. Enterprise clients can sign a data processing agreement.
Yes. The PDPL does not apply to companies in free zones with their own data protection legislation. DIFC companies follow the Data Protection Law, DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020, and ADGM companies follow the ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021, and each regime has its own rules on transferring data outside the free zone. Ask your data protection officer to review our hosting against your free zone's rules.
The interface is in English. A built-in Google Translate selector can display pages in Arabic and other languages, which helps coachees who prefer to read in Arabic, but it is machine translation rather than a native Arabic version. AI coach matching can take language into account, so coachees can be paired with coaches who share their language for the sessions themselves.
Yes. Add a VAT percentage to each invoice to charge the UAE's 5% standard rate, schedule invoices to send on a set date, follow up unpaid ones with reminders and take payment through PayPal. The UAE is also phasing in mandatory e-invoicing: businesses with annual revenue above AED 50 million must implement it by 1 January 2027, so check how the rollout applies to you.
