About

I provide executive coaching to senior-level leaders who carry significant responsibility, visibility, and pressure inside their organizations.

Most of the executives I support are highly capable and deeply committed. On paper, things look good. Yet the pace, complexity, and expectations of their role often crowd out the space they need to think clearly. Over time, this can quietly erode confidence in how they lead and show up for others.

My work is primarily centered on leadership development. I help executives strengthen self-awareness, mindset, and their day-to-day impact on the people around them. This includes identifying blind spots, navigating difficult dynamics, and making intentional shifts that improve clarity, decision-making, communication, and trust.

My approach is practical, direct, and grounded in real-world leadership experience. I do not prescribe formulas or quick fixes. Instead, I create space for thoughtful reflection, honest feedback, and meaningful progress. Much of my work is guided by a leadership development framework I’ve created that provides structure while remaining flexible to each leader’s unique situation.

I’m the founder of ReZone Coaching, based in Louisville, Kentucky, and I work with leaders across North America. While my work is focused one-on-one with individual executives, conversations often begin with HR leaders, board members, or senior leaders seeking an outside partner to support the success of individual executives.

At the core of my work is a simple belief: when leaders slow down enough to see themselves clearly, they lead with greater intention, effectiveness, and impact.

If this resonates and you’d like to explore your situation further, you can schedule a brief, private conversation here: https://calendly.com/brian-houp/15min

Who is Brian Houp?

You already know me as a coach, but I’m also a husband, dad, uncle, proud grandfather (a.k.a. “Poppy B”), and someone who finds joy in the outdoors.

When I’m not coaching senior leaders, you might find me snow skiing in the winter, mountain biking in the summer, or embracing any activity that involves more time with my family. I’m also an avid sports fan, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals and both Kentucky Wildcats football and basketball every chance I get. I love the energy of competition and the way sports bring people together.

At home, I keep busy with hands-on projects. Over the years, I’ve built a deck and basement bar, remodeled our kitchen and bathroom, and I’m always thinking about how to make things better than they were. Finding hobbies and interests beyond my career has been a meaningful shift in my own personal growth over time.

Why coach with Brian Houp?

Brian focuses his work exclusively on senior level leaders. He understands the realities that come with increased responsibility, visibility, and pressure, where decisions carry weight and there is little room to process openly. His coaching is grounded in real executive experience and a clear understanding of what it takes to lead well at the top.

A core strength of Brian’s work is his deep expertise in 360 feedback. He brings a thoughtful, human approach to multi stakeholder feedback, helping leaders uncover blindspots and patterns that are often hard to see on their own. His perspective on 360s has been featured in Forbes, and he is regularly invited to speak and be interviewed on the topic.

Clients value Brian’s calm, direct, and non prescriptive style. He creates a space where leaders can slow down, think clearly, and see blindspots that are easy to miss when the pace is relentless. The result is sharper decision making, better communication, and more intentional leadership.

What clients experience:

  • A trusted, neutral thinking partner with no agenda

  • Practical insight grounded in real feedback, not theory

  • Clear focus on mindset, self leadership, and impact on others

  • Increased confidence navigating complexity, conflict, and change

Brian’s approach combines thoughtful challenge with steady support. Leaders leave the work clearer, more grounded, and better equipped to lead at their best when it counts.
